Grooming and Saddling

Learning Horse Safety, Care, and Responsibility

Various Concentrations:

Dressing the horses for shows

Learning the anatomy of a horse, breeds & colors, proper saddling & bridling.

Students will have the opportunity to try both English and Western styles of riding

Learning the different kinds of horses and what they are used for.

Making new friends and enjoying new experiences.

Learning everything about horses from what they eat-everyday care, types, history and ultimately riding through fun games.

What to Wear: Full length pants/jeans or pants under a skirt. No Shorts. Please dress according to the weather. No open-toed shoes or slip-on-shoes. Sturdy riding boots with a low heel are recommended Sneakers/gym shoes are acceptable.

Helmets:

Helmets are required and are provided and shared by others. You may bring your own ASTM / SEI certified equestrian helmets. You can purchase the Helmets at Tractor Supply, Farm and Fleet, on line, etc.

Earlier times for drop offs or later times for pickups can be arranged if required.

Riding Lessons

Instructors are not gauranteed. The need vacations and sometime need personal days. Substitutes will take their place on occasion.
